Tagging in Peer-to-Peer Wikipedia A Method to Induce Cooperation

This paper discusses the ongoing work on P2P Wikipedia, a prototype of a personalized tag-based navigation system for Wikipedia content. It is the first open source peer-topeer (P2P) file sharing system able to deal with large files like video content that is being scaled to HTML content as well. The combined techniques in our prototype are the automated calculation of tags from HTML content, an open source personalized P2P file sharing system built on a social network, and the use of incentives for user cooperation to optimize system performance and to function as a training set to the calculation of tags.
